handling issues

 

this handle has caused me no end of frustration

it has been loose for months, 

maybe even a year or more

it is attached to my clothes closet door and I use it 

every

single

day

this afternoon I couldn't take it anymore

I opened the closet beside this one 

I grabbed my toolbox

I selected the correct screwdriver

I fixed the problem

it took me less time to make the necessary adjustments

than I normally spend being frustrated

the tool to make an easy repair has been, 

literally, 

within reach

but rather than take the time to do what needed to be done

I have focused on and fumed over the problem

as I tightened the screws I was convicted:

how often am I guilty of this same behavior in important areas of my life?
