tools of the trade
a different generation, same basic tools
an eagle flew over my house Thursday afternoon and Selah drew one
Abigail recreated the roses that grow on my fence
and I ended up with a beautiful mural
good old fashioned time and patience
allowed Gabriel and Moriah to overcome their fear
and become friends with the dogs

pinwheels and bubbles are always good outdoor fun
board games brought out smiles and giggles
oh the old memories that came to mind
as I watched the next generation make memories today,
using a set of new tools
whose origins are probably older than I am,
definitely repackaged,
but at the core,
the same ones I used in my childhood
and my children used when they were little
to create our own summertime fun...
