remember

Lamentations 3:21-25 (with notes)
"This I recall to my mind,
(I will think about what I know to be true)
therefore I have hope.
(I tested it, I have experienced it, I just need to take time to remember)
The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
(God's loving kindness is without end)
for His compassions never fail.
(His compassion always triumphs)
They are new every morning;
(His love,
His kindness,
His grace,
His forgiveness,
His compassion-
it is all new-
every single morning it starts all over!)
great is Your faithfulness.
(His faithfulness is lavish-huge)
'The Lord is my portion,'
(if I let Him, He will be what I need)
says my soul,
(I need to listen to the Spirit,
not to the father of lies
who would love for me to begin to doubt)
'therefore I have hope in Him.' "
(Because of who God is, I have hope!)
