Sin Caused Death

God's design was that man live in fellowship with Him.
Death was not what God wanted for man.
Man chose sin.
Sin brought death.
Sin is an enemy to man.
Sin brought separation from God.

"Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned."
Romans 5:12

Damn
1) to declare (something) to be bad, unfit...

Damn sin:

"If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.”
Genesis 4:7

Sin requires atonement, a sacrifice

"he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin offering. And the priest shall make atonement for him for his sinBut if he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed two turtledoves or two pigeons, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering."

Leviticus 5:6-7

"I acknowledged my sin to You,

    and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and You forgave the iniquity of my sin"
 Psalm 32:5

"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all My statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die."

Ezekiel 18:20-21

Damn
2) to condemn as a failure:

Damn sin:

"The next day he (John) saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
John 1:29

" But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,"
Romans 3:22-24

"but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 6:22-23

"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
that He was buried,
that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures..."
"
" 'O death, where is your victory?

O death, where is your sting?'

The sting of death is sin,
and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 55-57
