sharin' some love on Valentine's Day 2016

love is...
              powerful
if a picture is worth a thousand words,
these photo's are a great way to share some of the love
I have been privileged to experience in the last year or so

love is kind
one of them was hurt
so the other held her hand

love endures
last March this friend endured
a "cold" day so I could enjoy the beach

love keeps promises

love serves
a mobile feeding station that reaches out
to homeless in Costa Rica
love protects
this puppy took it upon himself to walk with us
and protect Deborah, Abigail, Selah, Bre and I in Salekhard
from a full grown, much larger dog

love creates new life
love perseveres
heart shaped locks placed by couples
Salekhard, Russia
love sacrifices
it is never easy to say "see you later"
love is gentle
love can takes us places
we never imagined
we would go
my first view of the land near Yamal, Russia
literally translated "the ends of the earth"
love expands our family
fellow believers in Siberia
love hopes
the road into the city
the Markey's hope to call home one day
love shares
love carries one another's burdens
the KCU Women's soccer team
took a break from practice to pray for a hurting friend

love is beautiful

love takes us out of our comfort zone
Beth and Sarah in Costa Rica,
playing soccer in the rain

love motivates
part of the KCU men's team
washing dishes after a meal at my house
Love changes lives

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
I John 4:9-12
