hold on to love

the messages no one wants to receive:

there is a mass...

there was an accident...

the cancer markers came back higher...
the dream can never be a reality...
"it" was destroyed by...

someone you love has lost someone they love, death, divorce, illness,
it doesn't matter, they have lost them

one day there will be:

no more loss

no more tears

no more heartache

no more sorrow

no more pain

no more fear

no more death

but until that day:
I will hold on to my faith in God
I will keep good, soft Kleenex close 

I will keep praying for those who are hurting

I will keep looking for things to be thankful for
I will keep putting one foot in front of the other

I will keep trusting God to work His will in my life

I will keep praying for courage to continue to love deeply, lavishly 

because without love, life is empty

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us."
