this "game" is much more than a simple game,
it was such an important part of Bill's life
that I cannot think about Baseball
without seeing Bill and experiencing his reactions
even though he is not here

this World Series makes me miss him more deeply
and my heart is so full of conflicting emotions
that my eyes and nose are leaking
thank goodness for soft, strong Kleenex
seeing his team win,
without him and his antics to watch as they do so
is a bittersweet enjoyment

Bill and I July 3,2011 at Reds Stadium

Cleveland was his team,
but after we moved to KY
Bill began cheering some for the Reds as well.
We travelled to Cincinnati numerous times to watch them play.
Cleveland came to Cincinnati July 1-3, 2011
so of course I had to order tickets for the 1&2 as a Father's Day/Birthday gift.
I was able to talk Bill into staying an extra day so we saw the whole series.
It was one of the few spontaneous suggestions I made that he agreed to.
I am thankful for this photo, this memory
