change can be beautiful

it is not the right time for lilacs to be blooming,

especially with bigger blooms than they had in the spring

I did not plant the yellow viola nor did I bury seeds hoping for a plant

and yet here I am on the first day of September, 2021

enjoying these bonus blossoms

my year of "change" continues to unfold

with different challenges

multiple growth opportunities

and beautiful reminders that God is not bound by "normal" 

I wonder what's next...
