Costa Rica 104

Another good night of sleep made it easy to be excited about facing the day.
Today’s focus:
Gong to minister to a minister.
We loaded up in the van and headed out.
Up hills, down hills, up the mountain, down the mountain.
Waterfalls alongside the road.
Narrow bridges.
Curvy roads.
Rivers.
Beautiful flowers.
Papaya trees.
Banana tress.
Mango trees.
Horses.
Cows.
Coconut trees.
Mamon chinos trees.
A stop mid way to got to the bathroom.
I am not sure who Daniel Stephens is but his tour bus was the gas station with at least two armed guards. One with a gun slung over his shoulder, one with a pistol tucked in his pants at the small of his back.
After two plus hours we arrived at Gilbert’s house.
Another case of walking in and thinking “oh, my.”
Three generations live together-Gilbert, his mother and his son.
The outer kitchen wall and area where the washer is had lattice like material as the wall.
Our group started cleaning, doing laundry, chores outside.
We shared some stories, a meal, life together.
We saw banana’s, lemons, starfruit, and coconuts up close because they were growing in his yard.
We ate fresh starfruit.
Chewed on a leaf that is used as the base for anesthesia.
We enjoyed his pet birds, wild orchids and other flowers that he raises.
It is amazing what love can accomplish- how it changes the way things look.

Gilbert and his family have a beautiful home.
