Monday
It was a rough night.
For several of us.
I had a fever, headache, body aches and diarrhea.
Thankfully Sarah had something to help calm my stomach so I could rest.
All told, two of the three interns here and three out of the eight of our team have shared similar grossness since yesterday morning. One of the host family was also feeling yucky. Most of us are feeling better.

Today’s ministry was in another poor area where houses were built for victims of the earthquake of 2009. Women and children came-we sang children’s songs, did a skit and Andrew taught a variation of the lesson I shared the other day. We handed out small bags. Every child got something. School aged children got three wooden pencils, a sharpener, an eraser, a pen, notebook paper and rice. The younger children got a coloring book and crayons or a toy and rice. If a mother had three children, they have three bags of rice.

We came home for lunch and to spend the afternoon here. We hoped to do more work on the unfinished building. After one piece of outside wall was put up a heavy rainstorm halted the work. I was able to post a few blog entries. Naps have been taken, cards played and stories told. Life is better when it is shared.
