snuggles on a Friday afternoon

I knew Ruth had given Mia everything she needed 
fed
burped
dry 
warm
music
swinging

but Mia was not happy
mommy and daddy went to the grocery store
so it was "my call"
I picked her up
and snuggled her

sometimes, 
even when we have everything we need, 
being held makes a world of difference in our comfort

I am thankful for these snuggles
on this snowy,
Friday afternoon.

"fear not, for I am with you;

    be not dismayed, for I am your God;

I will strengthen you, I will help you,

    I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
