I love you

Love I you?

I love you!

You I love!

I have "heard" God say:

Love I you?

Yes, yes, I do!

"but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

I love you!

“For God so loved the world, 

that He gave His only Son, 

that whoever believes in Him should not perish 

but have eternal life. 

For God did not send His Son into the world 

to condemn the world, 

but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, 

but whoever does not believe is condemned already,

because he has not believed in the name 

of the only Son of God."

John 3:16-18

You I love!

"See what kind of love the Father has given to us, 

that we should be called children of God; 

and so we are..."

I John 3:1

I have "heard" God ask:

Love you I?

I have answered;

"Yes, Lord, You know I love you."

And these verses come to mind 

as a check to see if my words are true:

"And this is love, 

that we walk according to His commandments;..."

2 John 1:6

 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you."

John 15:12-14

I am convinced

that God has not asked me to die 

(lay down my life)

to prove/show my love for my friends.
He has, however, 

on more than one occasion,

asked me 
to lay down MY life,

to put down MY agenda,

to lay aside MY plans

and join Him in being involved 

in the lives of others-

especially if they are in a time of

pain

sorrow

grief

need
loneliness

waiting
praying
joy

happiness

celebration

It's not about me.

It's not about you.

It is about us.

I am beyond blessed,

I am beyond thankful,

for friends and family who have

"layed down their life" for me.

Especially since August 29.
