leaning

The road of grief is long.
The road of grief is hard.
The road of grief is personal.
No one can walk it for anyone else.

The road of grief is not meant to be walked alone.
Your presence is appreciated,
but words are not necessary.
Your prayers are essential.

You cannot  "fix" it.
You cannot make it "easy".
You cannot make the road shorter.
You cannot say anything to explain "why".

If you see me crying, please know that I am ok-hurting deeply, but okay.
If you don't see me cry, please know that I am ok-
hurting deeply, but okay.

How am I okay?
How do I know I will be okay?
Because I know Who I lean on-
I know Who to trust.
