this is not it

This is not what I expected,

this is not what I dreamed of, 

this is not the life I wanted,

but this is the life I have.

I don't want to waste a minute.

I don't want to be careless with my  energy.

I don't want to be frivolous with my attention.

I want to live life with purpose

growing more intimate with God,

focusing on the people He puts in my life,

loving them freely,

lavishly, 

with reckless abandon, 

because love lingers. 

Love outlasts life.

" A new commandment I give to you, 

that you love one another: 

just as I have loved you, 

you also are to love one another. 

By this all people will know that you are My disciples, 

if you have love for one another.”

Jesus said this. It is recorded in John 13:34-35
