pulled over, twice
"what? where?"
"there! it's the eagle Ron saw at the house that one day"
we could see it with our eyes,
but we both had difficulty finding it on phone's camera sight
finally I could see it and started snapping photos
we followed it down the road and pulled over again
I was able to get a few more
Sarah turned one of them into a video for me,
the words and the movie I have are inadequate,
but they are a taste of the experience:
breathtaking
majestic
beautiful
awe inspiring
it's one thing to read and hear about an eagle flying,
or to even watch a video
it is quite another to see it live,
especially within a few miles of your home
I trust God,
especially in the "big stuff"
I have confidence in Him
I have experienced His unfailing faithfulness
but sometimes...
I still get weary
I still feel weak
this passage rings clearer,
the reminder to hope louder,
something I sometimes lose sight of,
especially when circumstances are pressing down,
and the promises of strength are
a little more personal,
and a lot more powerful tonight
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31
